Pshaw. Regardless, I won’t go burying him beyond the deadfall at the back of the sematary.

He/she keeps chewing open the birdseed bags. They're now full of duct tape covering the holes. I have a bird feeder out back, easy for him to get to, that I keep full of seeds he can help himself to, but NOOOOOOO! Soon I will be exclaiming… THIS MEANS WAR! A good old fashioned range war is on the horizon and I have a black hat for such an occasion. Call me the The Gunslinger. :)
Chippy is a pirate ready for battle.

:no_pig::cry_pig: Beware of Chippy's friends......
Not afraid of Alvin and his buddies, either. Size has its advantages. And some of Chippy's friends aren't too bright as several have already drowned themselves in the pool this year. :)

Needed a trimmer that could handle tough weeds. Lightweight Zenoah 22.5cc 2-cycle engine. Loads of power out of something so light. Display model was missing the trimmer head. Regularly $259, got it for $26. Also picked up a brush cutting universal trimmer head to put on the thing. Weeds beware!

Make sure you have your boots on and a good stock of band aides!

Band aides are a must. Picking some more up at lunch. I’ll injure something, regardless. The other year I was trimming and sent a rock flying. It hit the fence and bounced back chipping my front tooth. Sometimes I think I should wear a suit of armor when doing outside work. Every time I head out to do work the wife says “don’t hurt yourself.”

Spidey, you know the home improvement center I work at part-time. The new CEO wants much of the seasonal inventory cleared out. Other inventory also to clear up space. Some things are going 90% off. Some crazy savings are to be had right now. Also picked up two gallons of outdoor stain and sealant for $4.25 each, and four pairs of work gloves for 49 cents each, last night. In the last two weeks I've spent twice as much as I've earned. Almost got a rear tine tiller for half off, but decided against it as the wife would have killed me.

Have to make a trip up to my local "store" for potting soil. Will take a look around. Thanks for heads up. Going to send a guardian angel as you do outside work !!

Sweet weed cutter! I avoid yard work. Don't have to worry about it at my condo as we have landscapers on staff. I pay a landscaper to handle SwiftMom's property. Someone else can get yelled at if things aren't done to her satisfaction!

I do have a question regarding laminate flooring I'm hoping someone can help answer. Anyone have thoughts on Allen and Roth products? It's the Lowe's store brand. I've seen decidedly mixed reviews online.

A&R products are your average discount type products… nothing special. I’ve found them to be hit or miss (breakage is always and issue), and why you get mixed reviews. Some are better than others depending on who the actual producer is. Before purchasing check out a larger independent flooring center that has quality products. They always have a clearance section. I recently tiled two bathrooms. I looked at Lowes tiles, but ended up going to one of the places I noted and got two top quality types of imported Italian tile on clearance for less than the cost of home improvement tiles. But right now Lowes has some incredible deals going on for selected flooring... and some of the prices are too good to pass up.

Thanks for the info. For kicks and grins I'm getting an estimate to have Lowe's install as well. But I nixed the A&R product and asked them to quote using an engineered hard wood from Pergo and a laminate from Quick Step. My condo has concrete slab floors so I have to do a floating type floor or build a sub-floor for the regular hard wood. Building the sub-floor is beyond my home improvement skills.

Will it cost you $75 to get that estimate? And be sure to get another estimate on the install... trust me on this.
