There is a bright light in the sky-- sun, at last----- but will it last?

We had a nice day yesterday until about 3 and then we got hammered. No bathrooms again until this morning. It's looking like we about to get nailed again.

Everytime I go through this septic tank issue, I kick myself. There used to be a vacant lot behind me and I never had any trouble until they raised the lot and built a house on it. When the lot was for sale, I was planning on buying it. I called the real estate agent and found out how much it was and was in the process of gathering the money up when it sold to someone else. That someone else happened to be my neighbor on the other side of the lot. The neighbor built a house on it right away and sold it. I was planning on keeping it vacant. So every time we have torrential rains and I go through this issue, it reminds me that I should have been a little quicker to buy that lot.

Looks like another feeder heading in your way, might miss if goes north enough. I'll get it again this afternoon. Ground pretty good here for drainage. I feel like I am in a rainforest for the growth of grass and shrubs. Mower was down, so this weekend will be a lot of pushing through tall stuff.

A house in the area collapsed as a result of a landslide caused by flooding......the two people inside did not survive.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all in that area.

Here is still fully summer and yesterday there was a forest fire near where I live. Thankfully they firefighter got it under control before I spread any further. Some
kids had decided to ignite a campfire, despite warnings to not set any kinds of campfire or fires whatsoever. So of course they lost control and the bushes and
the trees started to burn.

Hopefully the weather change and we get some rain soon.

Thoughts and prayers to all who deal with weather issues.

I guess a back yard full of water is better than a back yard full of lava.
