Alamo Bay (1985) Ed Harris

In the late 70s, the US had a large influx of immigrants from Vietnam and this movie tells a fictional story (based on true events) that takes place in a Texas town on the Gulf Of Mexico during that time. The immigrants moved into this fishing/shrimping town and began competing with the locals for jobs. The locals were not happy and the situation devolved into a violent racial mess. It's a relevant story for current times.

This movie has a stellar soundtrack by Ry Cooder. I have the cd of this soundtrack and I think it's out of print but if you ever come across a copy, buy it.

House of Dracula

This one messed me up. I was like, "okay, so poor old Larry Talbot gets cured in this one?" Cure must have worn off, for he was soon wolfing it up for Abbott and Costello.

Talbot--you don't understand. Tonight, when the moon is full, I'll become a wolf.

Costello--yeah, you and about a million other guys.

Cleaner (2007) Sam Jackson, Ed Harris

Sam Jackson plays a former policeman that has a company that cleans crime scenes. He is called out to clean a crime scene and unknowingly gets involved in a police cover up.

I thought the first half of this movie was very good but then it goes off the rails at the end and falls into the formula trap. With a better script, this movie could have been top-notch.

Swimming Pool (2003 Hoopla)

Dive into a mind-bending thriller that's soaked with raw sensuality! A murder-mystery author's search for inspiration takes a wicked turn when she meets a sexy and provocative young woman with an explosive past, in the movie Interview calls "A thrilling film! Charlotte Rampling and Ludivine Sagnier sizzle!"

Yeah...no. Naked people here, there, everywhere. REALLY bad sex scenes. Besides this, I liked it. =D The psychology was good and I was always a step ahead. Yay me.
I won't say more but I looked up the Wikipedia entry of the movie to read the interpretation. My interpretation was way better.

Took my son to see "The Secret Lives of Pets" this last weekend. I nodded off during the movie a couple of times but I think that was due more to just needing to catch up on sleep. The parts of the movie I saw were pretty funny. Kevin Hart as the rabbit character was very funny.

Like your quote. Chuck Norris is the best on my list. Just found out that he trained Bruce Lee. Miss seeing those
Missing in Action movies and Delta Force movies on TV. Any particular one your favourite, Ghost?

Hi. How you been ma'am? If I HAD to pick a favorite Chuck Norris movie, I'd pick Code of Silence but I'll watch any of them. I love Missing in Action I, II, and III. Delta Force was great, Chuck Norris AND Lee Marvin? Can't beat that. Apparently before he was an actor he had an actual kickboxing record of 183 wins, 10 losses, and two draws. All things aside, that's pretty impressive. I think he's something like a 7th or 8th degree black belt in karate.

Rush (1991) Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jason Patrick

Intense drama about a pair of undercover cops that infiltrate a small town drug ring but get caught up in drugs themselves. Leigh and Patrick are great in this. If you're looking for something fun and upbeat, this ain't it.
One of the better UC narcotics officer movies I've ever seen. Jason Patrick was spot on in that movie.
