I believe you’re correct. I have no problem being in a tall building (even one built by Trump ) and not be afraid. But I can’t be near an open window in one, or on a balcony or roof.
My mom was like that. In a car, a plane, she was just fine. But out in the open, anywhere close to a dropoff, she'd start to get paralyzed. She couldn't get more than two boards up a stepladder without feeling panicky.
I don't mind spider, snakes, bats, slugs, mice, and other things that seem to give people the heebies. I like the dark. And being by myself.
Like FDR said (paraphrased), "Eschew phobophobia." Or something like that.
