FB stopped beeing Cool after everyone had an Idea about their Business Practices.
FB is to Curious, hot for Data.
And Copyrights ?
I dont know the US Facebook Rules.
In Germany it is like That :
If u take a Picture of me, you have to ask me, if you are allowed to Save it...or before
you tkae this Pic, you have to Ask me , if i Agree.
If u Agree, you give up the Copyright...to FB
In FB`s Standard Business Terms, you give up your Copyright, by Accepting their SBT.
They could use your Uploaded Image...for Everything
No one Reads Standard Business Terms, everybody clicks "Accept"
I dont give a F*** about FB
I am probably one of the people Sigmund is referring to. That happens with me a lot.
For me, it's not a choice between what's better or more fun. My IRL people are on FB, so when I drop into a Jen Hole and can't manage socialization across several platforms, FB is the last to go. Why?
Because dropping out of FB has real-life consequences, like people with each other's phone numbers discussing what a mess I am and how I probably need professional help (which I have) and how I shouldn't have had that last kid (should any of have had *any* of our kids, really?) and how my poor husband has to put up with so much and deserves better (that part is true.) Then they use my husband's phone number, and mine to "straighten things out."
The calls and messages start, sticky sweet at first. Then pointed, and then *angry* because I didn't respond properly to the original platitudes.
People here have my contact info, but no one has ever been a jerk to me. I've been checked in on, and had my heart warmed. And, I had one disastrous incident where I dropped the ball on someone and still don't think I've apologized enough (I'm so sorry, I still think about what a mess I made of things.)
So, when things go sideways, unless the whole program has become a burning skeleton on the sh¡theap, I fake it on Facebook. And, FB Jen is the real Jen. FB Jen is funny like me, cares about the same issues I do, loves her family like I do, and makes fun of current events like I do, but you never see her sweat (what commercial is that?)
That's what's going on with me when I'm there and not here. I didn't choose them over you. You're just not @$$holes to me when I'm not around. You could be if you wanted, I suppose. PM me for my deets.
Smooch!
I love my friend Jen. My friend Jen loves me. We have been with each other for far too long, through wayyyy too much to not be real and understanding. And that's always a good thing.
Lol, I like both.
I will say one thing in defense of Facebook. People can form a group, if they prefer, which allows only like-minded people to join. So, basically, people can have a pleasant experience much like the one experienced here. I'm not sure any site or forum is going to be completely free from negativity. However, I choose to spend most of my time here, as well. The irony of Facebook is in its effort to connect people and create community its users often feel lonelier and more disconnected than ever. That's my opinion.
What??
Lol, I like both.
I think it means You poor madman that's what google says, Habe ich das richtig gemacht osnafrank?
I'm going to try this. We have a horrible ant problem every damn year!People on FB know nothing about me. No phone number, no nothing. You don't have to give that info out unless you want to, and I chose not to.
I just visit my pages, and comment now, and then. Same as I do here. I gotta tell you though. On the native American sites, I have learned a lot about the cultures, and how to use herbs, and fruits for different things.
Did you know you can spay lemon juice on window sills, and door ways, and you won't have ants. Works, because I have done it, and we always have ant problems every summer.
But to each their own of being on FB.
....that's got the distinct odor of hack all over it.....
- Something strange just happened over at Facebook, it might be nothing, but, 3 members from here who rarely ever are active there, all showed up together in the 'currently online' column. One being Patindahat, one being one of our Eternal members, and the other our lovely Miss Moderator . Oddly there was no 'light' on by them or 'login time'.
- I just had this worry that someone may have or be trying to hack into them only because they all showed up together there and are not usually active, and then they all disappeared. I know you guys may have logged in and someones family member may also have but I wanted to let everyone know just in case .
