The film rights to Stephen’s forthcoming paperback release, Joyland, have been optioned by Tate Taylor.
Best known for his acclaimed work adapting and directing The Help, Taylor will also write, produce and direct Joyland. John Norris and Wyolah Films are also set to produce.
Joyland will be released on June 4th in paperback and audiobook formats.
Multiple online news sources including Deadline Hollywood are reporting that J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot along with Warner Brothers are in talks to bring 11/22/63 to television.
At this time, we do not know if Stephen will be directly involved with the production but we'll post more news as soon as it becomes available.

As part of the International Festival of Authors, Stephen and Owen King will headline the PEN Canada annual benefit on October 24th 2013 at 8pm. The Q&A discussion will be moderated by the award-winning mystery writer, Louise Penny.
The event will also include an hour-long book signing by Stephen with 400 signed copies of Doctor Sleep available for purchase.
Tickets to the event are $100 with all proceeds going to PEN Canada. Advance tickets will be available to PEN Patrons and the International Festival of Authors Patrons at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16th by calling the Harbourfront Centre Box Office at 416-973-4000.
Tickets for the general public will be available on Thursday, April 18th at 1:00 p.m. by calling the box office or by visiting www.readings.org.
Simon & Schuster Audio have cast Michael Kelly to read the Joyland Audiobook. Kelly is a rising star that can be seen alongside Kevin Spacy in the Netflix original series, House of Cards. He’ll also be featured in Zach Snyder’s upcoming Superman film, Man of Steel as well as Now You See Me (May 2013) starring Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo.
Previously, Kelly performed on several TV projects including Criminal Minds, Person of Interest and Generation Kill.

Entertainment Weekly has posted an article that reveals new information given at the WonderCon Q&A panel this past weekend.
Topics in the article include how Stephen gave his blessing to deviate from the book, how "Lost" has played an inspirational role in the writing, how the science of the dome has been fleshed out by scientists and how the series will eventually end.

CBS has also launched a minute-long "first look" video that includes never before seen footage and commentary by Stephen as well as the cast and crew.

Cast and crew members of the upcoming Under the Dome TV adaptation will be on hand at the Anaheim Convention Center for WonderCon 2013. (March 30th at 7pm.)
There will be Q&A discussion panel as well as a giveaway of an exclusive video clip from the pilot episode. Five lucky attendees will also receive a copy of Under the Dome signed by Stephen.

Hodder & Stoughton have unveiled the cover artwork for the UK hardcover edition of Doctor Sleep.
The mysterious artwork was revealed by The Daily Telegraph in a brief article the lays out some of the emerging details regarding the long-awaited sequel and its primary character Danny Torrance.
The online article also features an interactive version of the cover that offers several rich media assets including a video of Stephen discussing Doctor Sleep and reading from the manuscript. Enjoy!
