Turner Classic Movies Presents

As part of its "Night at the Movies" series, Turner Classic Movies will air a new documentary featuring Stephen discussing films that have influenced his creativity the most. Titled "The Horrors of Stephen King," the DreamWorks Television production will premier on October 3rd at 8pm. Topics will include everything from the staple vampire and zombie films of yesteryear to progressive stories of horror, demons and ghosts.
Films to be discussed will include Freaks, Cat People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Jaws, Halloween and The Changeling to name a few.

Fall for the Book Festival
Posted: August 12th, 2011 11:34:25 amTickets for Stephen's appearance and book signing at the Fall for the Book Festival at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on September 23, 2011, will be available on-line on August 15th. You must have a ticket to attend this event. Tickets can be reserved for free through the Center for the Arts Ticket Office beginning at 9 a.m. EST on Monday, August 15. Limit two tickets per request.

Bag of Bones Coming to A&E
Posted: July 25th, 2011 11:33:06 amSony Pictures Television and A&E will be airing a four hour mini-series based on Bag of Bones later this year. Filming of the series is set to begin early next month in Nova Scotia and will feature Pierce Brosnan in the lead role with Annabeth Gish supporting. Mick Garris will direct the production from a screenplay written by Matt Venne.
Update: Jason Priestley has signed on to play Mike Noonan's Literary Agent.

Under the Weather
Posted: April 28th, 2011 1:43:23 pmStephen's new short story, "Under the Weather" (written just in the past month or two) will be included in the U.S. paperback edition and as a new e-book edition of Full Dark, No Stars which will be released on May 24, 2011. It will be in Hodder's ebook edition releasing on May 24th and their mass-market edition which will be released at the end of July.
