Second 11/22/63 Dallas Event Announced

THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT - A Real Bookstore in The Village at Fairview will be hosting an on-stage appearance at McKinney North High School, 2550 Wilmeth Road, McKinney, TX 75071 at 7 PM on November 11th.  This will be a reading, talk, and audience Q&A. 

This is a ticketed event and advance purchase is required--ticket sales beginning October 11th at 9 AM CT. There will be 250 pre-signed books which will be randomly blended in with all copies available.

A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King on TCM

Turner Classic Movies is now airing A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King. The Dreamworks Television special features Stephen discussing classic horror films and their influence upon him.

Films to be discussed will include Freaks, Cat People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Jaws, Halloween and The Changeling to name a few.

11/22/63 Audiobook Samples - UPDATED

Simon & Schuster Audio and StephenKing.com will be releasing seven audiobook samples from 11/22/63 every Monday and Friday through October 24th.

These samples will be posted at 9:00am EST each release day and will include much of the first chapter of Stephen's epic tale. - Samples one, two and three are now available.

11/7/11 - Boston Event

THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT - Stephen will be appearing at the JFK Library, Boston, MA, to do a reading and on-stage conversation from 1:30-2:30 PM.

All forums are free and open to the public. To make a reservation, call 617-514-1643 or go online at www.jfklibrary.org. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Once the main hall is full, seating is in an overflow theater where the forum is streamed live. Doors to the main hall open one hour before the program begins.

Dr. Sleep In The Works (UPDATED)

It's now official--Stephen is working on Dr. Sleep, the sequel to The Shining.  This weekend Steve read an excerpt from this at his appearance at George Mason University.  They have given us permission to post their taping of the event here on Steve's site which we will do as soon as we receive the file.  Dr. Sleep's plot includes a traveling group of vampires called The Tribe which is part of the passage he read from.
